Everyone here is describing the same place. Nobody agrees on the road, or on who else is allowed to arrive. Perhaps it is less about defining how to get there and more about widening our capacity to hold more. More beings, more ideas, more heart.
Something is being built that doesn't have a single name yet.
In the mining sector they call it nature positive. In agriculture, regenerative. Christians call it Eden. Economists call it degrowth or doughnut economics. The Haudenosaunee ask about the faces yet to come. Ubuntu says a person is a person through other people. In Latin America, buen vivir. In the climate movement, a just transition. Charles Eisenstein calls it the more beautiful world our hearts know is possible.
These are not the same idea. Some of the people holding them consider others naïve, dangerous, or complicit. But every one of them is describing a world after this one and describing it in a language the others can't hear.
The New Era is where Seven Generations Africa is curious about this. We aren't satisfied with finding a common term everyone can agree to. Instead, The New Era is our way of simply pointing at that world everyone speaks of without wanting to define it... we simply want for all of us to look here, at and through each other. There is something coming... and we don't think anyone's grand plans or global solutions or frameworks or models or projections are what creates our reality. It is the way we interact with each other now that will create tomorrow.
